Making things up wastes time.
Patience. So we can wait until the unknown unknowns are known. Known in at least some way. So we can make meaningful plans. So we can work on real things rather than mermaids.
To build a truly productive organization, the definition of what it means to be productive must be reformed. Thinking, learning, and being patient. Being ready to take action when it becomes clear what action to take. This is also productivity.
Once this different concept of productivity is established, comfort with hanging in ambiguity where it is appropriate must be practiced. Hanging with ambiguity does not always come naturally in our work. But it must come in order to quickly adapt. Hanging with ambiguity is a skill worth the challenge.
